Scholarships and Grants<br />

and privately donated finanCial aid funds to its students through<br />
the Office of Financial Aid (OFA). Assistance IS available to<br />
students based on finanCial need, academiC ment and program<br />
of study. The application process for financial aid begins Wltn the<br />
completion of a Free Application for Federal Student Ald.<br />
Students should apply as soon as poSSible after January 1of the<br />
year in which they Will begin their academic career. Thl<br />
application forms are Widely available from high school<br />
counselors. communtty colleges, and the OFA. Students must file<br />
a separate application for the Guaranteed Studert Loan Program.<br />

Office on or before April 15th will be funded first. To receive<br />
Financial Aid astudent must be admitted into aprogram leading<br />
to adegree or certl::cate.<br />
Federal Aid Programs <br />
Supplemental Education Opportunity Grants· <br />
The SEOG Program IS adirect grant to undergraduate students<br />
demonstrating exceptional financial need. Eligibility is determined<br />
by the Office of FinanCla: Aid.<br />
Pell Grants·<br />
The Pell Grant Program IS funded by the federal government in<br />
order to provide pnrlldry access for students for their degrees.<br />
Eligibility is established by the federal go'/ernment and students<br />
are funded at the level appropriate to their dependency status.<br />

Single Parent Program<br />
The Single Parent Program prOVides guidance and support to<br />
single parents and displaced homemakers at the Sierra Vista and<br />
Douglas Campuses. Some financial assistance. networking With<br />
other single parents, problem solving and effectIVe referral are<br />
available to help both men and women become successful at<br />
school and In their chosen career through vocational programs.<br />
