Students dropping classes aftet Friday of the ninth week will be<br />
assigned II 'W' if the grade being earned up to withdrawal was a<br />
'C' or better, A'W' is not computed in the student's "GPA". Should<br />
the student withdraw from aclass in which he is earning below a<br />
'C', agrade of 'WF' is computed in the student's "GPA".<br />
Studerlts may add classes through Friday of the second week of<br />
classes, providing the class is not closed, by initiating an add<br />
transaction with the Registration Office. Add transactions during<br />
the third and fourth weeks of classes may only be made for the<br />
purpose of moving to alower or higher level course than one for<br />
which the student had already register~d.<br />
This policv does not apply to aviation programs operating under<br />
non-traditional calendar requirements or to special vocational<br />
courses officially est::tblished under open entry-open exit or short·<br />
term conditions.<br />
1. All Drop/Add forms will originate in the Registration Office or<br />
the Student Development Center.<br />
2. Students must obtain the appropriate signature for the<br />
classes they wish to drop or add. Questions regarding<br />
who is considered appropriate may be directed to the<br />
Registrar's Office.<br />
3. St~dents will turn in the Drop/Add slip to the Registration<br />
Office and proceed to the Cashier's Office if there is acharge<br />
for the transaction.<br />
NOTE: No slip will be acc~pted without the !lppropriate signature.<br />
No add Slip will be accepted after the last day to add aclass.<br />
Drop<br />
1. Instructors may drop those students who have not been<br />
attending class by marking through the student's name on the<br />
"FTSE" roster and recording adrop date. There will be no<br />
refunds to students for adrop made by the instructor. The<br />
student must turn in adrop Slip to the cashier in order to<br />
receive arefund.<br />
2. No drop slip will be accepted after the last day to drop adais<br />
without academic penalty. Students who wish to drop after till<br />
date must make arrangements with the instructor to receive Ii<br />
grade of 'W' or 'WF' on the final grade roster.<br />
Withdrawal from <strong>College</strong><br />
Astudent who wishes to withdraw from the <strong>College</strong> mUSI .Main a<br />
<strong>College</strong> withdrawal form from the Admissions and Records OffICe.<br />
Upon obtaining the appropriate signatures, the form is returned to<br />
the Admissions and Records Office.<br />
Failure to officially withdraw may jeopardize the receipt of any<br />
refunds due and ma:; further result in the assignment of 'WF' for<br />
all courses in which the student may be enrolled.<br />
Transcripts<br />
Atranscript is acopy of the student's permanent record whiCh,<br />
upon the written request of the student, is available to the student<br />
to another college or university, or prospective employer.<br />
Transcripts are fOlWarded by the Director of Admissions and<br />
Records Office at the written request of the student. Transcripts to<br />
educational institutions will be sent directly by mail. Transcripts<br />
given directly to the students are marked "issued to student." Tile<br />
first transcript is issued without charge. Charges for additional<br />
transcripts are as follows: unofficial transcripts to student· $1<br />
each: all official transcripts· $2.50 each.<br />
Transfer of Credit<br />
Students transferring from <strong>Cochise</strong> <strong>College</strong> to one of Arizona's<br />
state universities and colleges are advised as follows:<br />
1. Consult the Transfer Curriculum Guide, ThiS document has<br />
been developed by <strong>Cochise</strong> <strong>College</strong> in cooperation with the<br />
UniVerSities and colleges and provides minimum course<br />
information for most major areas of study,<br />
2. Universities may accept up to 72 units of community college<br />
coursework.<br />
