Power Plant Operations<br />

PPO 101 Power Plant Operation 1/5 Units<br />

Prerequisite: Current employment by an electrical power<br />

generating plant or permission of instructor. MAT 020 or<br />

concurrent enrollment.<br />

Apractical introduction to major systems and components of<br />

modern electrical power plants. the general responsibiltties of a<br />

plant operator and plant safety. Additional topics include baSIC<br />

charts and graphs. mathematical calculations and formulas<br />

associated with plant operation.<br />

AcomprehenSive course leading to completion of the FAA Pnval<br />

Pilot Certificate knowledge reqUirements and preparation for<br />

introduction to Commercial Pilot certification requirements.<br />

PFT 102 Private Pilot Practlcum/1 Unit<br />

Prerequisite: PFT 101 or equivalent.<br />

This course serves as a review of the knowledge areas required<br />

in the Private Pilot Practical Test Standards.<br />
