memberships in the Anzona Community COllege AssocIatIon,
the Council Of Nor1h Central Junior COlleges. the North Central
Auociation of Colleges and Schools, and the American
Auoclatlon of Community and Junior Colleges and the American
AsSOCiation of Community College Trustees, The College also
holds Federal Aviation Administration certification for its
professional pilot and aviation maintenance programs and full
accreditation of the nurSing program by the ArIzona State Board
of NurSi"g and the National League for Nursing.
Governance
The College district is governed by the 17·member Arizona State
Board of Directors for Community Collet'les and by afive· member
Governing Board elected from precincts in Cochise County. The
College is financed by legislative appropriation, aCounty-wide tax
levy and student tuition.
Community Services
Cochise College extends its educational services to meet the
needs of t~e entire County. Community Services is thaI phase of
the educational program which provides educational. cultural and
recreational serviCC1l:i beyond formalized classroom instruction.

The Cochise College Foundation
The Cochise College Found.ation. incorporated March 20. 1961,
supports the educational objeCtives of Cochise COllege. nhas a
County-wide membership of fifteen men and women interested in
promoting the goals of t~e College. The Foundation, having
rqcelved Internal Revenue Service qualification, is a recogniZed
avenue for receIpt of money. property or other rtems of value
bequeathed or donated for the benefit of the College.
The FoundatIon provides over $100.000 in scholarships to
Cochise College students each year and has assisted the College
with several capital projects over the past twenty years.
