Summer Spanish Immersion Program<br />
The <strong>College</strong> offers II summer Spanish Immersion Program that<br />
orovides intensive day-long instruction to non-native speakers.<br />
The program is designed to provide a basic speaking-listening<br />
1acility in the Spanish language. Students receive 8units of<br />
Iransferable credit upon successful completion of the program,<br />
equivalent to the first year of college Spanish.<br />
English Immersion Program<br />
The English Immersion Program offers astudent whose first<br />
:anguage is not English, the basic language proficiencies needed<br />
to enter regular college programs. Grammar, reading, writing,<br />
~onversation, listening comprehension and culture classes<br />
~re offered six hours daily at the beginning, intermediate and<br />
sdvanced levels. Classroom instruction is complemented<br />
)y extensive use of audio-visual materials. field trips and<br />
:ultural activities.<br />

~ochise <strong>College</strong> offers the Associate of Arts, Associate of<br />
)cience, Associate of General Studies. and the Associate of<br />
'pplied Science degrees with major emphasis in anumber of<br />

ontemporary society. This core of 41 semester hours of lower<br />
ivis,ion general education coursework will transfer to all Arizona<br />
ubhc com~unlty colleges and universities as ablock, without<br />
ISS of credit. In place of their lower diviSion general education<br />
lqUifements. ThiS block. however. may not satisfy individual<br />
college. department. or major general education requir.ments<br />
and is intended for studentS who hav. not identified the<br />
university they plan to attend and/or a major area of study.<br />
Students must complete the entire 41 units to have an Arizona<br />
