Acourse to develop entry level auto mechanic skills: basics of<br />

selection of tires, use of jack, changing tires, lubnca~lon syst~m<br />

service, checking fluid levels, cooling system and minor s~rvlce,<br />

repacking wheel bearings, fuel system theory and very minor<br />

service, basics of electricity, basics of battery: sta~er, an~<br />

changing system theory, ignition system service, diagnosis-what<br />

to do if the car won't start, selecting a used car.<br />

Prerequisite: GTC 100 or permission of instructor.<br />

Acontinuation of GTC 100 which emphasizes application of<br />

trigonometry to practical problems in industry, including use of<br />

logarithms and calculators to solve problems related to screw<br />

threads, gears, and technical problems in engineering.<br />
