An introduction to the primary skills of swimming for the non­
swimmer with emphasis upon water safety, basIc strokes and
developing Ihe ability to swim thirty yards.

HPE 131 Intermediate Coed Swlmmlngl1 Unit
Prerequls;te: HPE 130 or permission of instructor.
Apractical study of r:wimming designed 10 Improve skills in the
four fundamental strokes: crawl. breast. back and side. Upon
course completion, students will have the ability to swim
continuously for five minutes on tront. side, and back,
