2.3. Rationale <strong>for</strong> preparing <strong>the</strong> Project Strategy<br />

This Project Strategy has been prepared <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> following reasons:<br />

· To provide a roadmap <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> implementation of <strong>the</strong> Airport <strong>Master</strong> <strong>Plan</strong> and its<br />

subsequent amendments<br />

· To establish and maintain a central reference <strong>for</strong> those interested in understanding<br />

<strong>the</strong> issues associated with implementing <strong>the</strong> Airport <strong>Master</strong> <strong>Plan</strong> and how <strong>the</strong>y will<br />

be addressed.<br />

· To assist with business continuity is associated with staff and Councillor turnover<br />

etc<br />

· To satisfy SCRC governance requirements and o<strong>the</strong>r stakeholders that <strong>the</strong>re is<br />

planning rigour and a robust strategy in place to implement <strong>the</strong> Airport <strong>Master</strong> <strong>Plan</strong><br />

· To explore and document <strong>the</strong> issues associated with <strong>the</strong> project <strong>for</strong> reference by<br />

associated program managers such as design, communications, risk and public<br />

participation.<br />
