Consequently, an obstacle limitation surfaces (OLS) drawing based on a composite of these two runways was prepared to protect airspace associated with the airport in the long term. The OLS must be incorporated into the town planning scheme for areas surrounding the airport. Figure 10-8 shows the OLS. A separate B1 size print of this OLS drawing, along with an electronic version to allow Sunshine Coast Airport / Maroochy Shire Council to overlay the contours on their planning scheme, was provided to Sunshine Coast Airport.
