New Runway Project Strategy<br />

3.4. Statement of Work<br />

The work to be per<strong>for</strong>med during this project to achieve <strong>the</strong> development objectives, as<br />

described in <strong>the</strong> Airport <strong>Master</strong> <strong>Plan</strong> and subsequent amendments is outlined below.<br />

3.4.1. New Development<br />

· Build new runway 13/31 and <strong>the</strong> associated taxiway system, apron, terminal and<br />

infrastructure.<br />

3.4.2. Develop Existing Infrastructure<br />

· Reconfigure RPT apron<br />

· Expand passenger terminal<br />

· Revise car park layout<br />

· Construct new <strong>airport</strong> access road from David Low Way<br />

· Expand General Aviation facilities<br />

· Establish dedicated helicopter operating areas<br />

· Provide enhanced aviation support facilities including;<br />

o<br />

o<br />

o<br />

o<br />

Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Services facilities<br />

Aircraft refuelling facilities<br />

Air cargo handling facilities<br />

Ground service equipment storage and maintenance facilities<br />

· Expand commercial precinct<br />

3.5. Project Specifications<br />

Project specifications will be as directed by SCRC policy and <strong>the</strong> Project<br />

Sponsor/Owner/Manager including but not limited to:<br />

· Australian/New Zealand/ISO Standards<br />

· Building Code of Australia<br />

· Legislative requirements<br />

· Council and State <strong>Plan</strong>ning Codes<br />

Specifications will be determined prior to and made a condition of contractor/consultant<br />

engagement.<br />
