2.3 Source data and limitations<br />

As part of this appraisal we have relied upon data provided to us by SCRC / SCA, including<br />

work undertaken previously by external consultants to SCRC.<br />

We have not sought to audit, nor do we confirm <strong>the</strong> accuracy of, <strong>the</strong> in<strong>for</strong>mation provided to us<br />

by SCRC / SCA as part of this project. Similarly, we have relied upon externally sourced<br />

benchmark data and indicators to support our commercial and economic analysis. Accordingly,<br />

<strong>the</strong> results of our analysis should be interpreted with regard to <strong>the</strong> potential limitations of <strong>the</strong><br />

data sources used. A full list of data sources is provided at Appendix B.<br />

This Report has been prepared <strong>for</strong> our client, SCRC. It should not be used or relied upon by<br />

any o<strong>the</strong>r person <strong>for</strong> any purpose.<br />

2.4 Sunshine Coast Airport <strong>Master</strong> <strong>Plan</strong><br />

The SCA <strong>Master</strong> <strong>Plan</strong> provides <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> future expansion and redevelopment of <strong>the</strong> <strong>airport</strong><br />

precinct, including <strong>the</strong> following aeronautical and non-aeronautical developments:<br />

• The addition of a second runway (Runway 13/31) to facilitate new routes and larger<br />

aircraft, including associated taxiways and o<strong>the</strong>r supporting infrastructure<br />

• Reconfiguration of <strong>the</strong> Regular Passenger Terminal (RPT) apron to accommodate peak<br />

stand demand<br />

• Expansion and relocation of <strong>the</strong> passenger terminal to accommodate increased<br />

domestic demand and trans-Tasman services<br />

• Revision of <strong>the</strong> car park layout<br />

• Construction of a new <strong>airport</strong> access road from David Low Way (completed late 2008)<br />

• Expansion of General Aviation (GA) facilities<br />

• Commercial facilities to accommodate heavy aircraft engineering, business support<br />

areas, freight logistics areas, flight training schools, passenger terminal and terminal<br />

support, general aviation areas, and accommodation precinct.<br />

Our analysis is limited to <strong>the</strong> projects set out in <strong>the</strong> SCA <strong>Master</strong> <strong>Plan</strong>. A schematic of <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>Master</strong> <strong>Plan</strong> is provided overleaf and Appendix B provides a more detailed description of <strong>the</strong><br />

projects included in this appraisal.<br />
