The above described configuration is easily adapted for use as a<br />

successi ve-approximation Analog-to-Digital converter, and requires<br />

a minimum of additional hardware. Referring to Figure 2-27, a<br />

comparator has been placed on the output of the D-to-A converter.<br />

The output of the comparator is then connected to the UD-7 (LSB)<br />

input of I/o port number four.<br />
