Host-Nation Support Annex Format <strong>and</strong> Instructions<br />

(2) (U) Ammunition <strong>and</strong> Weapons. Describe host-nation considerations for ammunition <strong>and</strong><br />
weapons security, storage, <strong>and</strong> collection or delivery.<br />
(3) (U) Communications. Describe host-nation considerations for local <strong>and</strong> international<br />
communications, <strong>and</strong> security.<br />
(4) (U) Finance. Describe host-nation considerations <strong>and</strong> payment for accommodations, supplies,<br />
communications, equipment, local labor, maintenance, medical <strong>and</strong> movement facilities, emergency<br />
facilities, <strong>and</strong> personal facilities.<br />
(5) (U) Fuel. Describe host-nation fuel considerations for aircraft, vehicles, ships, method of<br />
delivery, storage, interoperability of refueling equipment, <strong>and</strong> common use of refueling installations.<br />
(6) (U) Local Labor. Describe host-nation local labor considerations for method of hiring, method<br />
of payment, <strong>and</strong> administration.<br />
(7) (U) Maintenance. Describe host-nation maintenance considerations for accommodations,<br />
vehicles, ships, equipment, roads, fixed <strong>and</strong> rotary wing aircraft, provision of assembly areas, damage<br />
control, emergency facilities for visitors’ vehicles <strong>and</strong> equipment, <strong>and</strong> evacuation of disabled vehicles <strong>and</strong><br />
equipment.<br />
(8) (U) Medical. Describe host-nation medical considerations for hospital facilities, emergency<br />
facilities, reciprocal national health agreements, <strong>and</strong> casualty evacuation.<br />
(9) (U) Movement. Describe host-nation movement considerations for airheads (facilities,<br />
alternates, equipment, <strong>and</strong> refueling), ports (facilities, alternates, ships, draft, bunkering/fueling, <strong>and</strong><br />
repair), road <strong>and</strong> rail movement (personnel, equipment, security, <strong>and</strong> traffic control), <strong>and</strong> pipeline<br />
movement.<br />
(10) (U) Rations. Describe host-nation rations considerations for fresh food, packaged foods, <strong>and</strong><br />
potable water.<br />
(11) (U) Supplies <strong>and</strong> Equipment. Describe host-nation supplies <strong>and</strong> equipment considerations for<br />
common use items other than ammunition, fuel, or rations.<br />
(12) (U) Translation. Describe host-nation translation considerations for interpreters, linguists,<br />
language specialists, <strong>and</strong> document translation.<br />
(13) (U) Transportation Equipment. Describe host-nation transportation equipment considerations<br />
for use of host-nation military vehicles, equipment, ships, <strong>and</strong> aircraft; locally hired vehicles <strong>and</strong><br />
equipment, ships, <strong>and</strong> aircraft; <strong>and</strong> the policy on drivers <strong>and</strong> h<strong>and</strong>lers of the military <strong>and</strong> locally hired<br />
vehicles.<br />
(14) (U) Water. Describe host-nation water considerations for production <strong>and</strong> purification<br />
capability (municipal <strong>and</strong> other water treatment systems), distribution capability (trucks, pipeline, <strong>and</strong> hose<br />
line), storage capability, receipt <strong>and</strong> issue capability, available water sources (wells, surface, <strong>and</strong> subsurface),<br />
<strong>and</strong> host-nation water quality st<strong>and</strong>ards.<br />
c. (U) Tasks to Subordinate Units. List host-nation support tasks assigned to specific subordinate units<br />
not contained in the base order. Identify the office of primary responsibility for each type of host-nation<br />
support managed separately within the comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />
d. (U) Coordinating Instructions. List only instructions applicable to two or more subordinate units not<br />
covered in the base plan or order.<br />
