(2) (U) Succession of Leadership. State the succession of leadership if not covered in the unit’s<br />

SOPs.<br />

(3) (U) Liaison Requirements. State the inspector general liaison requirements not covered in the<br />

base order.<br />

b. (U) Control.<br />

(1) (U) Comm<strong>and</strong> Posts. Describe the employment of inspector general-specific comm<strong>and</strong><br />

posts (CPs), including the location of each CP <strong>and</strong> its time of opening <strong>and</strong> closing.<br />

(2) (U) Reports. List inspector general-specific reports not covered in SOPs. Refer to Annex R<br />

(Reports) as required.<br />

c. (U) Signal. Address any inspector general-specific communications requirements or reports. List<br />

signal instructions <strong>and</strong> network-centric instructions, to include call signs, phone numbers, <strong>and</strong> addresses to<br />

reach the inspector general. Address unique digitization connectivity requirements or coordination to meet<br />

functional responsibilities. Refer to Annex H (Signal) as required.<br />

remains in the headquarters’ files.<br />

Use only if the comm<strong>and</strong>er does not sign the original attachment. If the comm<strong>and</strong>er signs the original, no<br />

further authentication is required. If the comm<strong>and</strong>er does not sign, the signature of the preparing staff<br />

officer (normally the comm<strong>and</strong> inspector general) requires authentication <strong>and</strong> only the last name <strong>and</strong> rank<br />

of the comm<strong>and</strong>er appear in the signature block.<br />

ATTACHMENT: List lower-level attachments (appendixes, tabs, <strong>and</strong> exhibits).<br />
