IV. Expropriation ActsUn der provisions laid down <strong>in</strong> the ex pro pri a tion act, the fol low <strong>in</strong>g be camethe property of the state with out any com pen sa tion:(a) The prop erty of Jews liv <strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the prov <strong>in</strong>ces, i.e. plough-land, hay fields,graz <strong>in</strong>g ground, un cul ti vated ar eas, lakes, v<strong>in</strong>eyards, coun try-man sions,parks, orchards, live stock- and poul try-breed <strong>in</strong>g houses, bee-keep<strong>in</strong>gfarms, veg e ta ble-gar dens, flower gardens as well as all an i mate and <strong>in</strong> an i -mate items of <strong>in</strong> ven tory, and sup plies of gra<strong>in</strong> and feedstuffs;(b) For ests un der Jewish own er ship, together with build <strong>in</strong>gs, equip ment,tools and rail-tracks; all types of mills, even those used <strong>in</strong> towns; coun tryoil-mills and coun try textile mills along with the ad jo<strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong>g land, animateor <strong>in</strong> an i mate items of <strong>in</strong> ven tory, f<strong>in</strong> ished products and raw ma te ri als; dis -till er ies, even if they happened to be <strong>in</strong> towns, with their land, build <strong>in</strong>gs,equipment, an i mate or <strong>in</strong> an i mate items of <strong>in</strong>ventory, f<strong>in</strong> ished prod uctsand raw materials; tim ber mills <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g land, build <strong>in</strong>gs, equipment, etc.;(c) Ships, boats and other float <strong>in</strong>g ves sels;(d) Real estate <strong>in</strong> towns, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g ad jo<strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong>g land;(e) Film studios and pr<strong>in</strong>t <strong>in</strong>g plants(f) Live stock-breed <strong>in</strong>g farms, bakeries, equipment for pastry pro duc tion;any type of secondary <strong>in</strong> dus trial es tab lish ments be long <strong>in</strong>g to mills; dis til la -tion plants, first and sec ond class dis till er ies and ref<strong>in</strong>eries, boil ers of allcat e go ries for spirit dis til la tion; <strong>in</strong> dus trial firms pro duc <strong>in</strong>g medic<strong>in</strong>e andme dic i nal raw materials; rights to sub soil uti li za tion <strong>in</strong> areas where the top -soil was Jewish prop erty; tim ber—<strong>in</strong> for ests, stock or under trans por ta -tion—owned by ei ther the owner of the forest or the ex ploiter; an i mate or<strong>in</strong> an i mate items of <strong>in</strong>ventory re lated to the above-men tioned, and as sets,equipment, rail-tracks, etc.;(g) Shares <strong>in</strong> travel and tour ist busi nesses owned by Jews;37
