successful treatment outcome was defined as implantation of a total hip prosthesis at the time ofthe second-stage operation with no growth of a microorganism on any culture specimenobtained from the operative site during the second-stage surgery and no reoperations resultingfrom a recurrent or persistent infection of the affected hip during the follow up at a minimum ofone month postoperatively (Fig 6).Fig. 6 Serial radiographs for the procedure A.
