(57) Abstract:<br />

A process for the preparation <strong>of</strong> at least 2L volume polyethylene container which process<br />

comprises blow moulding a bimodal HDPE, wherein said HDPE contains an ethylene<br />

homopolymer <strong>and</strong> an ethylene copolymer, said bimodal HDPE having the following<br />

characteristics:<br />

a density <strong>of</strong> 940 to 970kg/m 3<br />

a weight average molecular weight <strong>of</strong> 200000to 450000D;<br />

a number average molecular weight <strong>of</strong> 6000to 20000D;<br />

a molecular weight distribution <strong>of</strong> 15 to 55;<br />

MFR21 <strong>of</strong> 2 to 12g/10min;<br />

Tensile modulus at least 900 mPa ;<strong>and</strong><br />

A comonomer content <strong>of</strong> 0.5 to 10 wt%.<br />
