(57) Abstract:<br />

This invention deals with the process <strong>of</strong> preparing synergistic herbal composition for the<br />

treatment <strong>of</strong> animal bites treating animal bites <strong>and</strong> an early stages <strong>of</strong> hydrophobia. The ingredients<br />

used in the composition are Crotolaria prostrata, solanum suratiense, Cassia occidentalis <strong>and</strong><br />

Menispermaceae in ratio <strong>of</strong> 4:1:1:1. The parts <strong>of</strong> these plant are pounded together to bruise the cell<br />

wall untill the said parts are pounded into a pulp. The pulp is thereafter soaked in water for around<br />

28 hours in a cool place. Thereafter it is decanted <strong>and</strong> the sediment is stored for use in treating<br />

animal bite especially snake bite <strong>and</strong> early stages <strong>of</strong> hydrophobia<br />
