The bull is wild. The man wants to subdue him. Tame him. Eat him.
And it has been so since the dawn of time. TAURO – a short film
about the second-oldest relationship in human history.
A bika vad. Az ember gyõzni akar felette. Idomítani. Megenni. Mindezt
az idõk hajnalától fogva. E rövidfilm az emberiség történetének második
legrégibb kapcsolatáról szól.
Matthias DAENSCHEL • was born in Germany in 1970. In 1992–95 he
studied as a stage set painter at Schaubühne am Lebninger Platz,
Berlin, and later he worked at the Vienna State Opera. In 1998–99 he
studied animation at HFF-Potsdam. His
films include: „Aerobatics” (Kunstflug)
(1999) and „Taurus” (Tauro) (2002).
Németországban született 1970-ben.
1992–95 között színházi díszletfestõnek
tanul a berlini Schaubühne am Lebninger
Platz-ban, és késõbb a Bécsi Állami
Operaházban dolgozik. 1998–99-ben
animációt tanul a potsdami HFF filmakadémián.
Filmjei: „M repülés” (1999) és
„Bika” (2002).

A doctor is making his way through the corridors of the vast medieval
hospital. He enters the X-ray room, where we catch a glimpse of
the process as performed five hundred years ago. He then continues
into the operating theatre, where the patient is anaesthetized and
operated upon. The procedure works, but there is something wrong
with the methodology... A film without words.
Egy hatalmas középkori kórházban járunk. Látjuk, amint az orvos
végigmegy a hosszú folyosókon, majd belép a röntgenhelyiségbe,
ahol képet alkothatunk a m veletrõl, ahogy azt fél évszázada végezték.
Ezután doktorunk tovább halad a m tõbe, ahol az elaltatott páciens
operációja folyik. A m velet sikerrel jár, ám valami nem stimmel
a módszerrel… Film szavak nélkül.
Jesse ROSENWEET • began his art career as a photographer. A fascination
with motion on still pictures and a love of the cinema led him
to cinematography. His extensive experience as camera assistant,
camera operator and director of photography provided him with the
technical finesse to tackle a stop-motion
project. „The Stone of Folly” is his directorial
debut.
Pályafutását fotográfusként kezdte. Állóképek
iránti érdeklõdése és a mozi szeretete
vezette el a filmkészítéséig. Több évnyi
segédoperatõrként, kameramanként és
operatõrként szerzett tapasztalata vértezte
fel az elmélyült szakmai tudással, amelyet
a sajátos „állómozgás” technika megkíván.
