5.1.2 Editing with the Page Designer
Servers view
The Page Designer provides a visual-based environment that enables you to
create and work with a file while viewing its elements on the page. When you
open HTML or JSP files, the Page Designer is the default editor. The file will open
in the editor area where you will have three views to work with: Design, Source,
and Preview. You can alternate the way in which you see the file by moving
among these views.
For example, you can use the Design view to position graphics in the page, then
switch to the Preview view to see how it will look from a Web browser. The
Source view can be used to view the raw source code for the file, but not the
screen presentation. The Page Designer provides full visual editing capabilities,
including the ability to drag and drop from the Project Navigator view, the
Thumbnail view, and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
