5. Read the introduction. It will describe the function of the application and tell<br />

you how to deploy the sample to the <strong>WebSphere</strong> test environment.<br />

6. Deploy the sample (the instructions are in the introduction) and try it out. If<br />

you like what you see, explore the application elements. The best way to get<br />

started with this is to first become familiar with the Studio Site Developer<br />

environment by browsing through Chapter 3, “Using Studio Site Developer”<br />

on page 43.<br />

1.3.3 Using application templates<br />

Another way to get started quickly with <strong>WebSphere</strong> <strong>Application</strong> <strong>Server</strong> - Express<br />

is to create an application based on a template. The end result is a<br />

ready-for-deployment application. For example, you could select among the<br />

following templates:<br />

► White pages<br />

► Self-service insurance<br />
