Note: The Web perspective also contains the <strong>Server</strong>s view, the <strong>Server</strong><br />

Configuration view, and the Console view. You may find it easier to work in the<br />

Web perspective when you are testing an application.<br />

13.2.1 Setting preferences for the <strong>Server</strong> perspective<br />

There are preference settings that you may want to update once you start using<br />

the <strong>Server</strong> perspective. To define these preferences, do the following:<br />

1. From the toolbar, select Window -> Preferences -> <strong>Server</strong>.<br />

2. Expand the <strong>Server</strong> entry.<br />

The default options are shown in Figure 13-3. Among the options, we<br />

recommend paying attention to the following:<br />

– Automatically publish before starting servers<br />

Specifies that all the files should automatically be published before starting<br />

the server.<br />
