Using the Web material The additional Web material that accompanies this redbook includes the following files. These files are included in the sg246555.zip file. How to use the Web material Important: This sample was created during the redbook project as a way of discovering things about the product. It is provided for your convenience in case you want to browse through the code. It is a “living” sample, which means it may change over time. What you see in the downloaded sample may or may not be exactly the same as you see in the book. We can also almost guarantee that you will find bugs in the code that were not fixed during the project. After you have installed the Studio Site Developer component of WebSphere Application Server - Express, perform the steps described in the following section. Download the additional materials zip file To download the additional materials zip file: 1. Download the zip file from the IBM Redbooks site and store it in a temporary directory. The application can be found by going to the following Web site: http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg246555.html 2. Select the Additional Material link. 3. Import the sample The OnlineCatalog application is contained in OnlineCatalog.war. To view or run the sample you need to import it into Studio Site Developer. To import the sample: 1. Start Studio Site Developer by selecting Start -> Programs -> IBM WebSphere Application Server - Express V5.0.2 -> Studio Site Developer on Windows, or by /opt/IBM/WebSphereStudio/wasexpress on Linux. 2. Take the default workspace location. 3. Open the Web perspective by selecting Window -> Open Perspective -> Web. 4. Select File -> Import. 5. Select WAR file and click Next. This opens the Import dialog. 6. Browse to the OnlineCatalog.war file you downloaded and click Open. 7. Click New... to define the new project name. Enter OnlineCatalog. Check the Configure advanced options box and click Next. 8. Enter OnlineCatalogEAR as the EAR project name. Verify that the J2EE level is 1.3. 9. Click Next. 10.On the Features page, check Add Struts support and JSP Tag Libraries and uncheck Default style sheet (CSS file). 11.Click Finish. This creates the OnlineCatalog Web project and the OnlineCatalogEAR enterprise application project. 12.Click Finish to complete the import process. The OnlineCatalog WAR file will be imported and added to the OnlineCatalogEAR application. Import the .website-config file The .website-config file is used to define the structure and navigation site and is placed in the root of the Web project. 1. While still in the Web perspective, right-click the OnlineCatalog project and select Import... from the context menu. This opens the Import dialog. 2. Select File system and then click Next. 3. Locate the .website-config file and verify that the Into folder field is specified as OnlineCatalog. 4. Click Finish. When prompted to overwrite the file click Yes. Appendix D.
