5. Select the Link radio button from Insertion type. You can also select the<br />

Import radio button from Insertion type. This type is, however, not supported<br />

by all browsers. Therefore, it is recommended that you select the Link radio<br />

button unless there is good reason to do otherwise. The name of the selected<br />

style sheet file appears in the Styles view, and the settings in the style sheet<br />

file are applied to the page being edited.<br />

6. Click Finish to create and open the file in the editing area.<br />

Linking to an existing style sheet file<br />

By setting a link from your page to an existing style sheet file, you can apply the<br />

style in that file to your page.<br />

To set an external style sheet link, do the following:<br />

1. Open the Styles view from the Web perspective by selecting Window -><br />

Show View -> Styles.<br />

2. Open the file that you want to link to a cascading style sheet.<br />

3. Select the Select and Link to external style sheet tool bar button in the<br />

Styles view, which opens the Select and Link to External Style Sheet dialog.<br />

4. Click the list button to locate the external style sheet that you want to link to.<br />

You have the option of either locating the desired .css file within your project<br />

workspace (by selecting the Browse menu option), or importing one of the<br />

samples provided with <strong>WebSphere</strong> Studio, using the Import from Samples<br />

menu option.<br />

5. Select the Link radio button from Insertion type, and then click the OK button.<br />

You can also select the Import radio button from Insertion type. This type is,<br />

however, not supported by all browsers. Therefore, it is recommended that<br />

you select the Link radio button unless there is good reason to do otherwise.<br />

The name of the selected style sheet file appears in the Styles view, and the<br />

settings in the style sheet file are applied to the page being edited.<br />

Tip: If you have embedded styles in the HTML file, the embedded styles<br />

override the style specifications in an external style sheet file.<br />

5.1.10 Working with WebArt Designer<br />

WebArt Designer is a program for creating and editing image files. To edit an<br />

image file, simply open it from the Project Navigator view. The file will<br />

automatically open in the WebArt Designer. If you want to create a new image,<br />

you can open the designer by selecting File -> New -> Web -> Image File. Or<br />

you can select WebArt Designer from the Tools drop-down if it is visible.<br />
