– URL Mappings - lists URLs mapped to the selected servlet.<br />

When using the Servlet wizard, the servlet will automatically be<br />

mapped if the add to web.xml feature was selected.<br />

URL mappings are used to provide an alias for a servlet or JSP. This<br />

allows the developer to avoid hard-coding the exact path of a resource<br />

in other resources. If the location of a resource changes, the developer<br />

only needs to modify the URL mapping.<br />

– Initialization - lists the initialization parameters that are configured for the<br />

selected servlet or JSP file. Initialization parameters could include the user<br />

ID, password, URL, and driver properties for a database connection.<br />
