Generating DDL statements<br />

At this point you are probably wondering why Studio Site Developer needs to<br />

know about the database design. One good reason is that you can generate DDL<br />

statements to use as input to the database server to define the database<br />

elements (schema or tables). The alternative would be to create them using the<br />

database product, for example, the DB2 Control Center, and then import the<br />

design to Studio Site Developer. If you had an existing database with data, then<br />

this would be the way to go. But if you are creating the database to support the<br />

application, then using Studio Site Developer to create the design would be<br />

preferable.<br />
