Chapter 13. Deploying applications WebSphere Application Server - Express provides two application server environments for the deployment of applications. First, the WebSphere test environment provides a runtime test environment within Studio Site Developer. Second, the Express Application Server is provided as a standalone application server environment. It can be installed locally on the Studio Site Developer server or on a remote system. From a developer’s viewpoint, either can be used for testing applications, however, the management, operation, and deployment issues may differ depending on whether you are using the embedded test environment, a standalone application server reserved for testing, or deploying to a standalone production application server.
