SQL statement you want to build from the context menu. In this case we want
to create a select statement.
3. In the wizard, enter a descriptive name for the statement. For example,
SelectAllItems. You can save and reuse SQL statements you build so give it a
name that will identify its purpose. Click OK.
4. The SQL Query Builder will open. The new statement is initialized with a
Select * statement.
5. The first step is to choose a table to select from. You can do this in several
ways, depending on your preference:
– You can drag and drop the table from the Data Definition view into the SQL
Source view.
– You can open the context menu from the query in the Outline view and
select Add Table.
– You can use the context menu in the Tables view.
We prefer the drag-and-drop method, so we locate the DB2ADMIN.ITEM
entry in the database design and drag it to the SQL Source window.
