Generating DDL statements At this point you are probably wondering why Studio Site Developer needs to know about the database design. One good reason is that you can generate DDL statements to use as input to the database server to define the database elements (schema or tables). The alternative would be to create them using the database product, for example, the DB2 Control Center, and then import the design to Studio Site Developer. If you had an existing database with data, then this would be the way to go.
