XML Schema editor area<br />

The XML schema editor can be opened by double-clicking an XML schema file<br />

(*xsd). The XML schema editor has three main views:<br />

► Graph view: You can use the Graph view to add, remove, or rearrange<br />

components in your schema.<br />

► Design view: When you select an object in the Graph view, the Design view<br />

will display the properties that are associated with that schema component<br />

object. You can use the Design view to enter values for the selected object.<br />

Tip: By default, the Design view is combined with the Source and Graph<br />

views. This can be changed by editing the XML Schema attributes in the<br />

Preferences dialog. To open the dialog, select Window -> Preferences<br />

from the main menu and then expand the XML option in the left pane and<br />

select XML Schema.<br />

► Source view: You can switch to the Source view to edit the schema source<br />

directly. The XML schema editor uses the Task view for error reporting.<br />
