The Struts configuration file editor contains the following options: ► Action Mappings: Add, remove, and edit action mappings, local forwards, and local exceptions. ► Global Forwards: Add, remove, and edit global forwards. ► Form Beans: Add, remove, and edit form beans. ► Data Sources: Add, remove, and edit data sources. ► Global Exceptions: Add, remove, and edit Global exceptions. ► Controller: Add, remove, and edit Controller attributes. ► Message Resources: Add, remove, and edit message resources. ► Plug-ins: Lets you define plug-ins associated with the configuration file. ► Source: Lets you edit the XML source of the file. 12.2.7 Struts explorer view The Struts Explorer view provides you with a way to navigate through the various referenced parts of a Web application from a starting point such as a Web page , an Action mapping, a Global forward, or a Global exception. Objects contained in the Struts explorer view can be dragged and dropped onto the free-form surface of the Web diagram editor. In addition, configuration files, modules, action mappings, form beans, Web pages, global forwards, and global exceptions can be created in the Struts explorer view. Please refer to 12.2.5, “Wizards” on page 405 for more information. To view the organization of a Struts project in the Struts Explorer, complete the following steps: 1. In the Web perspective, click Window -> Show View -> Struts Explorer. The Struts Explorer view lists the names of the J2EE Web projects that exist in your workspace. 2. In the Struts Explorer, you can click the + signs to expand the list into a tree that lists the Web pages contained in a project. If the project is a Struts Web application, you can also get a list of Struts artifacts that are associated with the project. 3. You can expand each Web page to see the links that the page contains. 4. You can follow a link to the next page or action to see how the Web application flows from the initial page. Chapter 12.
