The Save as Page Template window opens and you can select the folder in which to save the template file. 5.1.6 Working with framesets In our sample application, we no longer use framesets, but instead, use the page templates. However, framesets are still commonly used in Web applications to control the organization and flow of the Web pages. One common Web page design consists of a banner or title in a horizontal top frame, navigation links in a narrow left frame with content in a wider frame on the right. Studio Site Developer provides you with easy-to-use tools to create and work with framesets. As an example, let’s build an entry for a Web site using a frameset. We will create a parent frame called index.html. It will have the following frames: ► A frame that spans the top called header.html. It will contain the company logo and links to company information. ► A frame on the lower left called menu.html. It will contain menu options. ► A frame on the lower right called main.html. It will contain the page displayed when the user selects an option. To build this frameset, you would do the following: 1. Create a new HTML page in the Web Content directory called index.html (New -> HTML/XHTML file). 2. 3. The frameset parent file is the file that contains tagging which defines the frameset and calls other files into the frames.
