16th September the organizers will start doing their job, introducing
this year three great news. The first concerns the
presidency that will be passed to the experienced and determinate
Barbara Zonchello. The second concerns the repositioning
of the hospitality area dedicated to the main sponsors;
the 2,600 square meters available for the biggest supporters
of the event will advance and therefore will be closer to the
18th hole. Around the hospitality area, which will be next to
the main grandstand, the Open Village will be set up for the
public. The 2,600 square meter space will offer 20 showing
areas, the merchandising area and the dining and entertainment
area for public. The large outdoor parking, the indoor
bar along the course, the internal shuttle and, above all, the
contribution of the many volunteers who make up one of the
pillars for the success of the most important golf event in Italy
are of course confirmed. The last news concerns a charity
project; the Italian Open supports the international project
World Food Programme, the largest humanitarian organization
fighting hunger worldwide. In Nepal, WFP supports a
school feeding program and, more specifically, the Nepalese
government's plan for education reform with the goal of ensuring
access to education to all children. Each year, the WFP
provides meals high in nutritional content to more than
195,000 children in more than 1,700 schools. With this important
initiative the Italian Open makes its contribution to fighting
hunger in the world. We are ready for the 69th edition
of the Italian Open (one of the oldest in Europe), aware of
how this championship can be an opportunity to approach
golf for many Italians and a boost to tourism for those who
want to discover the Italian treasures. The rest will be done
during the event; we are confident that the Molinari brothers,
Manassero, Gagli and Pavan will be at the highest positions of
the ranking, chasing a success that would benefit Italy.

Dal 13 al 16 settembre si muoverà una grande macchina organizzatrice
che anche quest’anno inauguerà tre belle novità. La prima riguarda
il cambio alla Presidenza che passa all’esperienza e la determinazione
di Barbara Zonchello, la seconda riguarda il riposizionamento dell’area
hospitality dedicata agli sponsor principali. I 2.000 metri quadrati
a disposizione delle maggiori aziende sostenitrici dell’evento, avanzeranno
di diverse decine di metri rispetto al passato, e saranno quindi
a ridosso della buca 18. Attorno all’area hospitality, alla quale verrà
affiancata la tribuna principale, sarà allestito anche l’Open Village dedicato
al pubblico. Lo spazio di 2.600 metri quadrati offrirà 20 aree
espositive, l’area merchandising, il ristoro e la zona intrattenimento
per gli spettatori. Restano naturalmente confermati gli ampi parcheggi
esterni, le bouvette lungo il percorso, il sistema di navette interno e
soprattutto il contributo dei tantissimi volontari che costituiscono una
delle colonne portanti per la buona riuscita dell’evento golfistico più
importante in Italia.
L’ultima novità è legata ad un progetto benefico. L’Italian Open sostiene
il progetto internazionale World Food Programme (Programma
Alimentare Mondiale), è la più grande organizzazione umanitaria che
combatte la fame nel mondo. In Nepal, il WFP sostiene il programma
per l’alimentazione scolastica e più specificamente il piano di riforma
scolastica del governo con l’obiettivo di garantire accesso all’educazione
per tutti. Ogni anno il WFP distribuisce pasti ad alto contenuto
nutritivo a più di 195.000 bambini in oltre 1.700 scuole. Con questa
importante iniziativa l’Italian Open e il golf dei campioni, danno il loro
contributo per combattere la fame nel mondo. Siamo pronti ad affrontare
la 69° edizione dell’Open di casa nostra (uno dei più longevi
d’Europa) coscienti di come questo torneo possa essere un mezzo
di avvicinamento al green per tanti connazionali e motore per il turismo
per chi vuole scoprire le bellezze d’Italia. Il resto lo farà il campo,
siamo sicuri che ci penseranno i fratelli Molinari, Manassero, Gagli e
Pavan a insidiare le parti alte della classifica inseguendo un successo
che farebbe molto bene alla nostra bandiera. n
