Quanto tempo è necessario per doppiare un film di 007?
Per doppiare un film di 007 ci vuole circa un mese di sala di registrazione,
dipende da quanto è parlato il film, poi c'è la sincronizzazione,
il mix, tutta la post produzione, in tutto poco meno di due mesi.
Quando inizierai a doppiare Skyfall?
Inizierò verso la metà di settembre, il film dovrebbe uscire a novembre.
In rete si può trovare il primo trailer che ho doppiato circa un
mese fa, ma penso che prima dell'uscita ne arriveranno altri......
Qual'è stato, tra i 22 film di James Bond, quello che ti è piaciuto di più
in termini di sceneggiatura e doppiaggio?
Ho adorato i primi bond, avevano un fascino pazzesco, il mio preferito
rimane "Goldfinger" e poi mi è piaciuto tantissimo "Casino
Royale", chissà perchè? Forse sono un pò di parte!
Come si diventa doppiatori? Raccontaci brevemente come hai iniziato
a fare questa meravigliosa professione.
Il doppiaggio è una "specializzazione" dell'attore, si comincia spesso
da bambini, o dopo aver frequentato l’accademia, i modi sono tanti.....
Io vengo da una famiglia di attori, mio nonno era Checco Durante, un
famoso attore dialettale romano, tutti a casa recitavano, e mio padre e
mio zio erano due direttori di doppiaggio. Inizialmente suonavo e volevo
fare il musicista, poi per necessità ho voluto provare, e ho cominciato
a lavorare un pò con mio padre. Avevo 19 anni, quindi non
ero un bambino, ma è scoppiata in me una grande passione per questo
lavoro. Ho cominciato a fare provini in giro, ne ho vinto uno con
un direttore della vecchia guardia, Mario Colli, per una serie americana
molto lunga, e dopo due anni passati a imparare con lui vinsi il
primo provino importante per il cinema: doppiai Nicholas Cage in
"Birdy" di Alan Parker. Ricordo che andai al cinema a vederlo da solo,
e quando finì, capii che quello sarebbe stato il mio lavoro. Ancora oggi
penso che quella sia stata forse la cosa migliore che abbia mai fatto.
Tornando a Bond: meglio Sean Connery o Daniel Craig?
Penso che fare un paragone tra Daniel Craig e Sean Connery sia davvero
impossibile, troppo diversi i tempi, il modo di recitare, oggi la
tecnologia rende possibili effetti pazzeschi, ma James Bond è e rimarrà
sempre Sean Connery!
Il trailer di Skyfall ha rivelato poco del nuovo e attesissimo film.
Dacci un tuo parere personale.
Il film è ancora in preparazione, il trailer che ho fatto fa capire davvero
poco, ma dà subito l'idea di quello che ci aspetta e il cast è stellare,
credo proprio che non rimarremo delusi. n
How long does it take to dub an 007 film?
Dubbing an 007 film takes about a month spent in the recording
studio; then we have to match speeches, mix, do the postproduction,
all in less than two months.
When will you start dubbing Skyfall?
I will start in mid-September. On the internet one may find the
first trailer I dubbed about a month ago, but I think that more
will come before the release.
What was, among the 22 James Bond films, the one you liked
the most in terms of script and dubbing?
I loved the first ones, they had a huge charm; my favorite is
"Goldfinger" and then I loved "Casino Royale".
Can you wonder why? Maybe I'm a little partisan!
What is necessary to become a dubber? Tell us briefly how you
started doing this wonderful job.
Dubbing is a "specialization" of an actor; one often begins as a
child, or after attending the academy, there are many ways .....
I come from a family of actors, my grandfather was Checco
Durante, a famous Roman dialect actor; everyone at home
acted, and my father and my uncle were two dubbing directors.
At first I wanted to become a musician, then, out of necessity, I
tried, and I started to work a bit with my father. I was 19, so I
was not a child anymore, but a passion for this work broke out
in me. I started doing auditions and I won one with Mario Colli
for a very long American TV series; after two years of learning
with him, I won the first important audition for cinema: I dubbed
Nicholas Cage in "Birdy" by Alan Parker. I remember me
going to the cinema on my own to see the film, and when it
was finished, I realized that would be my job. Even today, I
think that was probably the best thing I have ever done.
Let’s talk about Bond again: do you prefer Connery or Craig?
I think that comparing Daniel Craig and Sean Connery is impossible,
since they belong to different times and ways of acting.
Today, technology makes special effects possible, but James
Bond is and always will be Sean Connery!
The Skyfall trailer has revealed little about the new and longawaited
film. Give us your own personal opinion.
The film is still in preparation; the trailer I dubbed reveals little
of it, but it immediately gives the idea of what it will be like, and
the cast is amazing, I am sure you won’t be disappointed.
