lavorativa, riduzione del dolore locale, precoce ripresa della capacità deambulatoria,
i parametri per valutare i risultati ottenuti. Riteniamo, pertanto, che
qualunque strategia terapeutica si voglia attuare, non si può prescindere dalla
terapia medica e dalla compressione che favoriranno, quantitativamente e qualitativamente,
il processo di guarigione e ridurranno il rischio delle recidive.

The leg ulcers have an annual incidence in the adult population of about
1%, which reaches 3,6% in individuals older than 65 years 1 .
Ulcers, sores, were once regarded as something shameful, just decent, to
hide, from which the term “cover the ulcer”. Today, “coveing” means to
dress the wound and to create all the optimal conditions for healing.
Cure an injury, time, meant to dry the wound, healing it “in the crust”;
but this concept has been completely reversed by Winter, who, in 1962,
introduced the concept of moist wound healing.
The concept of dressing has suffered in recent years a complex
metamorphosis.
From a dressing that did not interfere with the processes of tissue repair, we
went to phisician who tried to establish an environment (wet) more favorable
to the tissue repair process, until you arrive to the dressing techniques
that seek to restore a proper balance of biochemical and cellular injury
(i.e., platelet gels, dressings based on hyaluronic acid and collagen). The
achievement, through appropriate medication, of these goals is essential,
because you can obtain to the ulcer healing

Le ulcere degli arti inferiori presentano un’incidenza annuale nella
popolazione adulta di circa l’1% che raggiunge il 3,6% negli individui con
più di 65 anni 1 .
Le ulcere, le piaghe, un tempo venivano considerate come un qualcosa di
vergognoso, di poco dignitoso, da nascondere, da cui il termine “coprire
l’ulcera”. Oggigiorno, “coprire” significa medicare la lesione e creare tutte
