Ai piedi del promontorio di Montemarcello un’insenatura
protegge la spiaggia di Punta Corvo. 700 gradini naturali
a strapiombo sul mare per raggiungere l’arenile arenile
circondato da vegetazione mediterranea. La sabbia,
prodotta dallo sgretolamento delle rocce circostanti, è di
colore grigio scuro. L’acqua trasparente e profonda. Dalla
cima della scogliera si ammirano le tre isole del golfo dei
Poeti: Palmaria, Tino e Tinetto. Non raggiungibile a piedi
in questa estate 2011, fino alla fine dei lavori di ripristino
del sentiero la spiaggia è collegata da battelli con
partenze da Bocca di Magra (Largo Vittorio) e da
Fiumaretta (attracco lungo fiume)
At the foot of the promontory of Montemarcello, a
narrow inlet leads off the sea to the beach at Punta
Corvo (Crow Point). 700 steps carved into the cliffs
above the sea will take you to a sandy beach
surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation. The sand,
produced by erosion, is dark gray. The water is clear
and deep. From the top of the cliff you can see the
three islands of the Gulf of Poets: Palmaria, Tino, and
Tinetto. Though work is being done on the trail that
leads to this beach (and therefore not accessible for
the summer of 2011), you can still get there by boat
from Bocca di Magra (Largo Vittorio) and from
Fiumaretta (boats moored along the river)
