A WRITTEN RESPONSE TO THE
POSITION OF ARTAN GRUBI

egarding
the position of Ali Ahmeti’s Chief of Staff, DUI’s MP Artan
Grubi, who disclosed the names proposed during the name issue
negotiations to replace the constitutional name of the Republic of
Macedonia, the Macedonian Alliance President, Gjorgija George
Atanasoski, provides his response as follows:
It is shameful and humiliating to see how the current government leaders turn a
blind eye and a deaf ear to the substance of the dispute that Greece has imposed on
us. Have Zaev, Dimitrov, Sekerinska, Ahmeti and Grubi heard the future Greek Prime
Minister Mitsotakis, who has publicly confirmed that the party with the highest rating
“New Democracy” does not recognize the Macedonian national identity? How could
they still naively argue that the solution will fully guarantee the identity? Any change
of the constitutional name will mean a revision of and tampering with Macedonian
identity!
It is too presumptuous by Grubi on behalf of DUI to quote names like “Krusevo”,
“Contemporary” and “European” Macedonia. Even more, to triumph by saying that by
DUI’s insisting they have provided a solution to the name in the area of translatability
of travel documents regarding the nationality of other ethnic community members
in Macedonia. We regret that DUI shows complete disregard for the sensitivities of
the Macedonian people! However, the greatest responsibility for what is happening
belongs to Zaev, Dimitrov and Sekerinska, who, in order to preserve their positions of
power, are forced to make an attempt for high treason!
Since everybody allows themselves to suggest a name: Greeks, Bulgarians, Albanians,
Serbs, EU and others, then I, Gjorgija George Atanasoski, as a Macedonian,
patriot and visionary, suggest a name for general use, i.e. erga omnes, UNITED KING-
DOM OF MACEDONIA! This name indeed strengthens the Macedonian national identity,
it has a historical reflection and will certainly pass the referendum!
