What basic values can we agree on in an increasingly
pluralistic society? And who should communicate
them? Do we need more laws, or are recommendations
the most suitable way of achieving diversity and
value-based corporate governance? These were central
questions in the discussion between Klaus Prömpers,
Head of the ZDF’s Vienna studio, and Klaus-Peter
Müller, Chairman of the Government Commission
‘German Corporate Governance Code’. And the financial
and economic crisis was also addressed, of course:
could it contribute to values coming to play a greater
role again in business and in society?
