FNE & ÖFI: Focus on Austrian <strong>CEE</strong> Coproduction<br />
Die <strong>Film</strong> New Europe Association (www.filmneweurope.com) organisiert gemeinsam<br />
mit dem Österreichischen <strong>Film</strong>institut im Rahmen des LET’S <strong>CEE</strong> <strong>Film</strong> <strong>Festival</strong>s das<br />
Branchen-Event „Focus on Austrian <strong>CEE</strong> Coproduction”. Die FNE Association besteht aus<br />
den Vorständen wichtiger <strong>Film</strong>institutionen Zentral- und Osteuropas. Sie ist die führende<br />
Networking-Plattform der <strong>Film</strong>industrie dieser Region. Produzenten und andere<br />
Experten werden erklären, wie die Finanzierung länderübergreifender Koproduktionen<br />
mit <strong>CEE</strong>-Partnern heute funktioniert. Dazu werden Fallstudien international erfolgreicher<br />
Koproduktionen aus der Region vorgestellt. Abschließend gibt es ein Q&A und einen<br />
Networking-Brunch. Bei der Veranstaltung sind auch Gäste von LET’S <strong>CEE</strong> mit dabei. Die<br />
Teilnahme ist frei, man sollte sich aber vorher unter fnecoprodevent@filmneweurope.<br />
com anmelden. Die Veranstaltung findet in englischer Sprache statt.<br />

The <strong>Film</strong> New Europe Association (www.filmneweurope.com) hosts, in conjunction with<br />
the Austrian <strong>Film</strong> Institute, as part of the LET’S <strong>CEE</strong> <strong>Film</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> the industry event “Focus<br />
on Austrian <strong>CEE</strong> Co-production”. The FNE Association consists of managing boards<br />
from important film institutions in Central and Eastern Europe, and is the film industry’s<br />
leading networking platform for the region. Producers and other experts will explain<br />
how the funding of transnational co-productions with <strong>CEE</strong> partners works today. For<br />
this purpose, case studies from internationally successful co-productions from the region<br />
will be presented. To conclude there will be a Q&A session and networking brunch.<br />
There will also be guests from LET’S <strong>CEE</strong> at the event. Participation is free of charge, but<br />
prior registration is required via fnecoprodevent@filmneweurope.com. The event will be<br />

Showcasing the European <strong>Film</strong> <strong>Festival</strong><br />
from Romania at LET’S <strong>CEE</strong><br />
Das European <strong>Film</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> präsentiert jährlich eine Auswahl der neuesten und interessantesten<br />
europäischen Produktionen. Im Jahr 2016 wird es bereits sein 20. Jubiläum<br />
feiern. Es zählt somit zu den ältesten und prestigeträchtigsten <strong>Film</strong>festivals in Rumänien.<br />
Im Rahmen von LET’S <strong>CEE</strong> wird das <strong>Festival</strong> Back Home, den Eröffnungsfilm <strong>2015</strong>, präsentieren.<br />
Am 10. Oktober ab 18 Uhr haben zudem alle Interessierten in der Strandbar<br />
Herrmann die Möglichkeit, die Erfolgsgeschichte des European <strong>Film</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> aus erster<br />
Hand kennenzulernen. Die <strong>Festival</strong>organisatoren und rumänische <strong>Film</strong>emacher – darunter<br />
Andrei Cohn und Ada Solomon – sowie Vertreter von EUNIC (European Union<br />
National Institutes for Culture) werden bei Wein von Liliac und einem rumänischen Buffet<br />
die vergangenen 19 <strong>Festival</strong>jahre Revue passieren lassen und ausgewählte <strong>Festival</strong>trailer<br />
zeigen, die von Regiegrößen wie Cristi Puiu oder Radu Jude inszeniert wurden.<br />
Als besonderer Höhepunkt werden zudem einzigartige Requisiten aus dem <strong>Film</strong> Aferim!<br />
versteigert. Der Erlös kommt dem Forschungsprojekt „500 years of slavery“ zugute, das<br />
die Versklavung von Roma historisch aufarbeitet. Eintritt frei!<br />

The European <strong>Film</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> annually presents a selection of the latest and most interesting<br />
European productions. In 2016 it will celebrate its 20th anniversary, and is therefore<br />
one of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals in Romania. The opening film, Back<br />
Home will be presented at the festival, as part of LET´S <strong>CEE</strong>. On October 10th from 6pm<br />
everyone will have the opportunity to learn about the success story of the European<br />
<strong>Film</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> at the Strandbar Herrmann. The festival organizers and Romanian filmmakers<br />
- including Andrei Cohn and Ada Solomon - as well as representatives of EUNIC<br />
(European Union National Institutes for Culture), will be reviewing the last 19 festival<br />
years, while enjoying lilac wine and a Romanian buffet. They will show selected festival<br />
trailers by famous directors such as Cristi Puiu and Radu Jude. A special highlight will<br />
be an auction of original props used in the film Aferim! with the proceeds going to the<br />
research project, "500 years of slavery" which deals with the historical enslavement of<br />
the Roma people. Free admission!<br />
