It is considered that all requested<br />

boundary changes (including<br />

M2/Vimiera Rd) should be<br />

undertaken as requested and that<br />

the inclusion <strong>of</strong> land in Vimiera Rd<br />

on the Land Reservation Acquisition<br />

Map be highlighted to DoPI for their<br />

consideration.<br />

Council should note that all such<br />

changes are required by DoPI to be<br />

also indicated on the Land Zoning<br />

Map.<br />

The subject road has been zoned B4<br />

Mixed Use and prior to that was<br />

zoned Business (Town Centre).<br />

Under DoPI PN 10 – 001<br />

a classified road that passes through<br />

a major retail centre is required to be<br />

zoned using the appropriate<br />

business zone for the adjoining land.<br />

This is to provide a planning<br />

framework for considering potential<br />

development over or below roads<br />

and on footpaths.<br />

As the land has been zoned B4 (or<br />

equivalent) since 2006 it is<br />

must not be to a<br />

classified road.
