requested from DoPI that does not<br />
rezone any current SP2 land to any<br />
other purpose. This request was<br />
supported by DoPI.<br />
Based on this resolution the rezoning<br />
<strong>of</strong> the land to B1 is not supported.<br />
Council’s Open Space Unit have<br />
commenced a program reviewing the<br />
E2 zones within the <strong>City</strong>. The review<br />
program was a recommendation <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Local Planning Study. The work<br />
completed to date includes the E2 land<br />
along the Parramatta River , Putney<br />
Park and Shrimptons Creek. It is<br />
anticipated that over time this program<br />
will review all the E2 zones in the <strong>City</strong>.<br />
Biodiversity mapping has merit in<br />
relation to protecting the environment .<br />
However to introduce such provisions<br />
requires a comprehensive<br />
consideration and research to:<br />
- defining the biodiversity<br />
elements<br />
- mapping the corridors in
