Dual occupancy not duplex
should be considered ie 2 storey
rear dwelling.
Multi dwelling developments –
controls should be more flexible
and assessed on merit.
Comments on dwelling housing
DA process.
Supports concept of duplex as a
more affordable housing option
Attachment 7 - Council report 24 July 2012 - Draft Ryde LEP 2011 - Submissions
Nothing prevents a dual occupancy
which has dwellings located one
behind the other.
The standards proposed for multi
dwelling housing is the same as has
been in place for a number of years.
Flexibility can occur in design where
proven beneficial to the development
and surrounding area.
The issue is not relevant to the DLEP.
