To start up the tool management function, you must create a configuration file
and load it to the NC.
Create a new configuration file with the system variables for the tool management
definition or adapt the examples from the toolbox.
Note
With the PCU 50, you can also set up the configuration file on the CNC ISO
operator interface.

The configuration file must include the following settings:
S Define the type of search strategy
S Define the real magazine
S Define buffer magazine
S Define load magazine
S Define locations for the real magazine
S Define locations for the buffer magazine
S Define the spindle assignment
S Define the locations for the load magazine
S Define the distances for the real magazine
Load the configuration file to the NC.
The following examples can be found in tools\sd in the toolbox:
S TM_WO_GR.8X0 (configuration without dual gripper) with the following contents:
-- 1 real magazine with 30 locations
-- 1 spindle
-- 2 load points
S TM_W_GR.8X0 (configuration with dual gripper) with the following contents:
-- 1 real magazine with 30 locations
-- 1 spindle
-- 2 grippers
-- 2 load points
If necessary, adapt the configuration files in the lines typed in bold print.
