PROPERTIES AND APPEARANCE: White/off-white/brown powder or soft flakes<br />

SOLUBILITY % AT VARIOUS Solubility varies with molecular weight. Generally, chitosan is insoluble in water, sucrose solutions,<br />

TEMPERATURE/pH COMBINATIONS: sodium chloride solution, ethanol solutions, vegetable oils and propylene glycol. It is soluble in<br />

aqueous solutions of acids (acetic, citric, etc.).<br />
