Sanctity Necessary for the Priest. 69
When they see him attend but little to the advancement
of his family, and wholly devoted to the things of God,
they say to him: 1
Why dost thou do so to us? He must
answer them in the words of the Infant Jesus to his
mother when she found him in the temple: How is it
that you sought Me ? did you not know that I must be about
My Father s business I*1 Such should be the answer of a
priest to his relatives. Have
you, he should say to them,
made me a priest
? Do you not know that a priest
should attend only to God ? Him only do I wish to
seek.
