Operations section<br />

The operations section is responsible for implementing the response activities described in an<br />

IAP. These are typically field operations of the emergency response. Figure A13-VI shows an<br />

example of the operations section organization for a complex (major) radiation emergency.<br />

The radiological assessment branch operates out of the radiological monitoring and<br />

assessment centre (RMAC- see Appendix 14) along with all of the teams conducting<br />

environmental monitoring.<br />
