ANALYSIS OF<br />
Definition: The mind-concentration (yoga) of<br />
the Mahayanist Saint at the time when he has attained a<br />
dominating position in the contemplation of the aspects<br />
of the 3 forms of Omniscience. It is, in its predominant<br />
part, characterized by analytic wisdom which is the result<br />
of the meditation over the principle of Non-substantiality<br />
(of the separate elements of existence).<br />

This method includes those special stages of the Path<br />
where the Bodhisattva who is engaged in the process of<br />
contemplation (of the 3 forms of Omniscience), attains<br />
the resulting culminating degrees of his transic meditation.<br />

III. The Process of Intuition as<br />
progressive form of Contemplation.<br />
-pahi mnon-rtogs or<br />
= mthar-gyis-sbyor-ba (6).<br />
Definition :—The yoga of the Mahayanist Saint,<br />
characterized by the contemplation of the aspects of the<br />
3 kinds of Ommiscience, taken separately, in a gradual<br />
order. This kind of meditation is practised in order to<br />
obtain a firm knowledge in regard of each of the said<br />
aspects (i.e. to fix them firmly in the mind).<br />

The objects, which had been first meditated over in<br />
detail and in a summary form, are then put in a gradual<br />
order and meditated over again separately by him who has<br />
attained any of the Culminating Stages of the Path. 2 This<br />
