Lower Right (2)
character (°) is produce when the "Alt" key is released.
Enter the lower right coordinates for the Latitude and Longitude
of the restricted zone.
Area (3) Select one of 99 possibilities to defined an area.
Enter the identification number for each areas.
There are two possibilities to set up an ID zone.
Area ID (4)
In order to establish a single zone which involves many small
zones (up to 99 fixed), is required that all involved zones must
have the same ID number. e.g. establish an area where the
vehicle allowed to travel. An alarm message is issued if predefined
parameters of established single zone are exceeded. (For
more details read the description below this table.)
In order to control each zone separately, the different ID for each
zone has to be set. An alarm message is issued if pre-defined
parameters for current zone are exceeded.
Alarm type (5)
Select one of three posibilities of alarm type for current restricted
zone. (For more details read the description below.)
Alarm text (6) Enter the text of the alarm SMS for current defined zone.
Dest. number (7)
Enter the target telephone number where an alarm for current
zone to be sent to.
Set the interval of time in seconds for sending SMS message
Interval (8)
from the Falcom STEPP. If this value is set to 0, a SMS message
for in-zone and out-zone will be sent to the authorized number,
respectively.
Send (9)
Saves the configuration of the restricted zone in Falcom STEPP
terminal.
Appears all stored configuration of areas. By double-clicking on
Stored areas (10) an already defined area, the area data will be displayed in fields 1
to 9 for controlling and editing purposes.
Concerning the set No-Go Zone Entry event, the FALCOM STEPP terminal
supports three different configuration types:
1- if the vehicle enters (on the Alarm Type selection field named “inside”)
the pre-defined zone.
2- if the vehicle leaves (on the Alarm Type selection field named“outside”)
the pre-defined zone.
3- if the vehicle enters and leaves (on the Alarm Type selection field named
“inside and outside”) the pre-defined zone.
The other possibility is also supported, when the user sets up to 99 different
zones with the same ID number. The FALCOM STEPP recognises those
restricted zones as a single zone. The set up of zones has to be adjacent to or
overlapped zones (no free space between zones). That means if the vehicle
leaves the first zone and at the same time enters to the next one and others,
(depend on the amount of set zones) the FALCOM STEPP compares the ID
zones (the previous zone with the next one) if they are the same one, no SMS
message will be sent. When the vehicle leaves the current zone and does not
contemporaneously enter to the next one, so a SMS alert message with
corresponding zone identification text will be sent to the predefined phone
number. In other words this geo-fencing feature allows you to establish an area
