Coolant is a standard feature as enabled by<br />

toolholder design.<br />

Straight-shank toolholders perform<br />

effectively up to 8,000 rpm, depending on<br />

the application and unless stated<br />

otherwise.<br />

Kennametal recommends the toolholder<br />

assembly (toolholder components, collets,<br />

cutting tools) be balanced when operating<br />

at speeds higher than 8,000 rpm.<br />

All critical surfaces need to be protected<br />

from damage caused by dings and<br />

scratches from cutting edges. This damage<br />

will impair accuracy and performance.<br />

Make sure components are clean when<br />

assembled.<br />

Never overtighten toolholders. This can<br />

permanently destroy their function and<br />

accuracy.<br />
