Balanced-by-Design
Our toolholders are “balanced-by-design” at the engineering design
stage, where any imbalance is corrected by a design-compensating
feature. Small residual imbalances may result due to normal
manufacturing variations within the ANSI-allowed tolerance
specifications. With this nominal characteristic, Kennametal’s
steep taper toolholders will accommodate spindle speeds up to
12,000 rpm before balancing should be seriously enforced.
TG Collet Chucks
Kennametal Erickson Tremendous Grip (TG) single-angle collet
chucks have an 8° included angle, which creates superior
wedging action and gripping power. Accuracies are equivalent to or
better than DIN 6499 (ER system). This is one reason why TG is the
most popular single-angle collet system in North America.
